This was our very first project that gave us the initial experience of the buy, refurbish, rent and refinance model and introduced us to property investment! Naturally, we were very excited but possibly had an equal amount of trepidation! It was our first time engaging with tradesmen for a full house renovation, finding out the cost of materials, arranging a refinance and many other things. Our property education and training had given us so much knowledge and insight into what to do and things to look out for, but nothing compared to the actual experience. 

‘Project Kilwonda’ as we nicknamed it, is a 3 bed mid-terraced house built over 100 years ago and had had no refurbishment works carried out in the 30 years prior to our purchase. Located in a desirable part of town with access to local services, the property was in dire need of some TLC and modernisation! Once we purchased the property, we went to work, ripping out the old fixtures, installed a brand new and modern kitchen, bathroom suite, new gas central heating system, flooring and redecorated the house transforming it into a high quality home for a family.
